Berlin's subcultures are losing their spaces. One venue after another is closing down, and each one takes away a place where something could happen. There's no shortage of talent. What's missing is the stage.

INK&ART is an attempt to fight back. We’re building a labyrinth inside the Black Hall at Mahalla. Inside: work by more than 40 artists, plus stations for tattooing, piercing, and tooth gems. The exhibition remains the same all day—but the room doesn’t. Light and music change how you experience it, shifting from house music in the bright afternoon to techno once it gets dark.

Tattoo artists, photographers, painters, body artists, and DJs share the same space. Not in separate zones, but as a unified whole. Scenes that operate in the same city yet rarely intersect.

No white cube, no one discipline taking precedence over another.
