Simona Mancheva is a Macedonian visual artist whose practice examines social norms, gender, identity and the prejudices that restrict individual freedom. Trained in painting and fine art in Skopje, she uses artistic research to question inherited stereotypes and forms of discrimination, with particular attention to marginalised bodies and identities. Her work positions art as a means of critically re-examining social structures and imagining alternative ways of living together.
