Throughout the history of the Earth, the planet has continuously transformed itself. Over thousands and millions of years, landscapes disappear, oceans shift, species evolve, and entire civilizations are erased, leaving almost no trace behind. What seems permanent to us may be only a temporary stage in a much larger cycle of transformation and renewal. Yet, beneath the surface of the sea, some forms of life have endured through these immense changes. Hidden in the depths, they have survived while worlds above them disappeared and new ones emerged. This sculpture imagines these deep-sea beings as possible remnants of forgotten civilizations — organisms, creatures, or perhaps something between the two — that have witnessed the Earth being transformed again and again. They exist in a place beyond our history, carrying within them the memory of worlds that no longer exist. Perhaps they are survivors. Perhaps they are the ancestors of what comes next.
